lyrics

When I look back, all I see are Autumn's falling leaves
twisting, twirling, floating to the ground to grow Spring roses
only after many nights of Winter's silent snowfall
while somewhere, someone sings the far-off song of Summer breeze.

It's been too long since we had our toes stuck in the ground,
but, friends, I know that soon
we can close our eyes and go somewhere
where all the leaves are green.

When I look back, all I see are people's empty gardens
dried, and cracked, and ready to get some more warm sunlight
or an afternoon of rain, that dances on the rooftop
making me stop to think of far-off Summer breeze

It's been too long since we had our toes stuck in the ground,
But, friends! I know that soon
we can close our eyes, and go somewhere
where all the leaves are shades of green
and everything's in bloom
